COMMUNITY NURSE

• The District Nurses work from the surgery premises and can be contacted at their Lochmaben office on:  

   01387 811745 during surgery opening hours

   Or via NHS 24 on 01387 810252 or 01387 810215, Out of hours.

• The nurses work in close co-operation with the doctors and other members of the Primary Care Team.

• The District Nurses provide a wide range of services, caring for patients in their own homes, providing essential expertise and advice to patients with chronic disease, disability and also for those patients in need of palliative care.

HEALTH VISITOR SERVICE

 

• The Health Visitor can be contacted on 01576 205531/32  or     Mobile 07736955491

The Health Visitor holds a child/baby clinic every WEDNESDAY 1.30 - 3.30pm. An appointment is required. Parents are welcome to bring children/babies to this clinic for growth measurement, immunisation, advice  on feeding,, behaviour problems, sleep problems, head lice and any concerns that they may have.

MATERNITY CARE

 

 

• A team of Community Midwives (the ORANGE TEAM) work in close co-operation with the doctors at the practice and the Cresswell wing. They can be contacted on 01576 20 5536

• Ante natal, perinatal and post natal care are provided in the community and in hospital by the same team of midwives.

The practice antenatal clinic is held on WEDNESDAYS 2 -3.30 pm
